Hope Springs Nursery
Hope Springs Nursery is a small woman-owned lilac nursery in southern New York State. We propagate, grow and sell lilacs. We sell a large variety of lilac cultivars, many of which are not commercially available elsewhere, at very reasonable prices. You deal directly with me, the owner and grower. We want our customers to be happy and will do everything we can to make sure you will buy more lilacs from us or refer us to your friends and family.
This is a part-time endeavor for me. I work at a bank and have always enjoyed gardening and outdoor work. In 2009 I stumbled upon an interesting website that shows people how they can easily root plants from cuttings, grow them a bit, and sell them. Hmmmm, maybe I can do this, I thought. And after a few fits, starts, and missteps, Hope Springs Nursery was born. Lilacs are notoriously difficult to propagate from cuttings, and most large wholesale growers mass produce them in a lab via tissue culture. Many of these growers have reduced the cultivars they offer. On the other hand, I'm trying to make more cultivars more widely available!
